Another aspect is that there is decrease in price of lithium ion batteries from The price has fallen from $150 per Kilowatt-hour to $55 per Kilowatt-hour.

The research is going on for alternative batteries like aluminium-ion, zinc-ion and sodium-ion.

Manufacturers that can produce more than 5000 units of batteries per month are commonly found in now a days. The demand from the e commerce  and transport are creating requirement to scale the sector easily.
